Packages Page Documentation
This page is where users define the specific intervention details for both the baseline and comparison arms of their economic analysis by selecting pre-defined configurations and tiers.
Select Package Configuration
At the top of the page, you'll find a dropdown menu labeled "Package Configuration (Resources)". This lists available intervention sets (e.g., "Breast Cancer - UHCC Workbook") and depends on the model you selected previously. Loading indicators appear while fetching available configurations, and error messages display if loading fails. Next to the dropdown is an "Edit Package" button that opens the resource editor in a new tab (resources.forecasthealth.org). This button may be disabled if no configuration is selected.
Baseline and Comparison Package Tabs
Below the configuration selection are two main tabs/buttons: "Baseline Package" and "Comparison Package". These allow you to configure the two scenarios independently. The active tab is highlighted to show which package you're currently configuring.
Configuring a Package (Baseline/Comparison)
The following controls appear within each tab:
Select Tier
Each tab contains a "Select Tier (Resource Scenarios)" dropdown. These represent specific levels or versions of the selected Package Configuration (e.g., "Tier 1", "Tier 2", "Current Standard of Care"). Loading indicators appear while fetching available tiers, and error messages display if loading fails. Selecting a tier loads its details into the table below.
Select Stage
Below the tier selection is a "Select Stage" dropdown with options like "All Stages", "Stage 1", "Stage 2", etc. This acts as a filter for the parameters displayed in the table below.
Package Details Table
The main table displays parameters for the selected Tier and filtered Stage using the PackageDetailsTable component. It has the following columns:
- Package: The name of the package or intervention
- Subgroup: The specific subgroup or category
- Value: The parameter value for this package/subgroup combination
Above the table are "Filter by Package" and "Filter by Subgroup" input fields that allow you to quickly find specific entries. You can also sort the table by clicking on column headers.
Important: The "Value" column contains an editable input field (numeric). You can modify these values (e.g., coverage proportions between 0 and 1). Changes are saved when the input field loses focus (on blur) or when Enter is pressed.
Editing Behavior:
- If a specific stage (e.g., "Stage 2") is selected in the "Select Stage" dropdown, editing a value in the table updates only that specific parameter for that stage.
- If "All Stages" is selected, editing a value updates that parameter across all stages for the corresponding Package row. Placeholder text may guide you about this behavior.
The table shows loading indicators while fetching tier details, error messages if loading fails, and an empty state message if no tier/stage is selected or if filters yield no results.
